Climate Change: Science and Solutions
1
This will be the first in a series of live presentations about climate change offered to the public through the UF/IFAS Seminole County Florida Cooperative Extension Service. After presenting the science behind climate change and how we know it is caused by human activities, I will present a variety of actions individuals can take to be part of the solution. These include contacting elected officials, going solar, planting native landscape plants which require less water and chemical fertilizers and pesticides, improving the efficiency of your home, eating a diet higher in plant based products, etc. The culmination for those attending in person will be the assembly of a solar powered landscape decoration made with a bottle that each person brings with them.
