I will be presenting to the Democratic Party of Evanston. Special guest includes Commissioner Debra Shore, of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, who will discuss in greater detail the impacts of the warming climate to the watershed and the Great Lakes -- and also the bipartisan work that's ongoing in the Great Lakes Region to protect this most important source of freshwater.
While the central sponsor of this talk is political, the event will be nonpartisan and emphasize the nonpartisan nature of our climate crisis. As Commissioner Shore points out, we have a great opportunity for bipartisan cooperation since there is widespread concern about water quality, water supply, air quality, etc. -- all issues that have great potential for many people to find common cause.
